TUSCALOOSA | Billy R. Parker, age 74, went home to be with the Lord, March 27, 2015. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home with Tim Tindle and Brannon Pinion officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Monday, March 30, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lee Parker; two brothers, Raiford Parker and Samuel (Junior) Parker; and one sister, Helen Jean Parker.He is survived by his wife of 52 years,...

Visitation will be Monday, March 30, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lee Parker; two brothers, Raiford Parker and Samuel (Junior) Parker; and one sister, Helen Jean Parker.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janie Parker; three daughters, Vicky Criss (Cebo), Lisa Landolt and Laura Nelson (Robert); one son, Ray Parker; three granddaughters, Jill Criss, Rachel Nelson and Brooke Landolt; three sisters, Dean Oglesby, Jewell Snipes and Barbara Lancaster; and many family members and friends.He was an employee at DCH Regional Medical Center for 28 years. He loved the Lord and loved his church and church family. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He had many, many friends. He was never ashamed to share the gospel with those he came in contact with. Billy will be greatly missed, but we have comfort in knowing he is with his Savior and is with all of his loved ones who have gone on before him.Pallbearers will be Billy Morris, J. C. Hall, Clayton Parker, Jimmy Battles, Mike Parke, and Chris Lancaster.Honorary pallbearers are former and present employees of DCH Regional Medical Center, Wayne and Faye Gilliland, William Harbrick, Jimmy Battles' Sunday School class at Mt.
