BUHL - Louise Coleman Pate, age 98, of Buhl, Ala., died October 9, 2016. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Buhl Baptist Church with Bro. Alfred Banks and Bro. Glenn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman Coleman and Tessie Coleman; husband, Herbert Pate; grandson, Chip Evans; great-granddaughter, Jodi Avery; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include her children, Charlotte King (Charles) of Cottondale, Ala., Joe Pate (Virginia) of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Bonnie Harless (Harry) of Northport, Ala., Missy Evans (Frank) of Buhl, Ala., Kenneth Pate (Jamel) of Coker, Ala., and Elaine Kennedy (Glenn) of Elrod, Ala.; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Pate, Michael Harless, Jeffrey Harless, Kyle Kennedy, Ken Pate, Patrick Doherty, Clark Bailey and Joshua Bell.
Honorary pallbearers are Jean Harless, Ann Kelly, Clarine Wheat, Jo Chism, Frank Kelly, friends and neighbors of Buhl community and members of Buhl Baptist church.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Allison, Vivian, Laurena and the Hospice nurses.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Buhl Baptist Church.
