NORTHPORT - Tammy Jo Jennings was born on July 20, 1962 and stepped in to heaven's gates on January 25, 2018. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Luther and Vera Greer and her paternal grandparents, Buren Jennings, Sr. and Basil M. Pettus.
Survivors include her parents, Buren Jennings, Jr. and Helen Greer Jennings; sister, Debbie McBride, (John); brother, Charles B. Jennings (Beth) of Northport; nieces and...

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Luther and Vera Greer and her paternal grandparents, Buren Jennings, Sr. and Basil M. Pettus.
Survivors include her parents, Buren Jennings, Jr. and Helen Greer Jennings; sister, Debbie McBride, (John); brother, Charles B. Jennings (Beth) of Northport; nieces and nephews, Sara Hill, John McBride (Kelly), McBride, Deborah Kyle Ziegler (Johnathan), Eric Jennings, Jewell Seprodi (Craig) and Joel Baker; and several grand and great-grandnephews and grandnieces who referred to her as "Me-Me"; and best friend, Donna Lunceford.
Tammy was a member of Northgate Baptist Church where she was involved in children's ministries for many years.
She had recently retired from 28 years of nursing. She was a constant giver donating time and money to numerous charities including supplies to Houston, during the flood.
She will be missed dearly. Heaven needed a great nurse to take care of the angels.
Pallbearers will be John McBride, Justin McBride, Chris McBride, Austin Patterson, Eric Jennings and Jonathan Ziegler.
Honorary pallbearers are the employees of the Harper Center.
